VinylHere at Sign Innovations we use only the best quality 3M High Performance Vinyls.
Standard Vinyls: These films may also be referred to as intermediate, 4 mil, short-term or economy. The quality of calendered films can range from economy to intermediate with durability of one to five years. These films generally are not recommended for vehicle applications because they are thicker, less conformable and less durable than cast films. Advantages of calendered films: Greater production yields equals less cost. Thickness of film increases resistance to abrasion. High Performance Vinyl: Cast films, also known in the industry as premium, high-performance or 2 mil are considered to be a premium product with excellent durability and conformability characteristics. The term "cast" refers to the manufacturing process of this type of vinyl. Most colors last 7+ years. Advantages of cast films:
WoodHere at Sign Innovations all wood signs are made with the highest quality Omega Signboard.
Construction: Hardwood core is composed of a premium, exterior furniture-grade plywood with smooth, tight, sanded veneers for optimum surface beauty. Surface consists of finished, brilliant white vinyl. The vinyl surface is impact-resistant and formulated with high-performance UV inhibitors to reduce fading. Benefits: Offers a strong, economical sign panel with a glossy, white vinyl surface that will not flake or peel. Ideal for the application of pressure-sensitive vinyl. Easy to fabricate with standard carpentry tools. Stronger and lighter than MDO panels. Available in single and double-sided. Lasts 5+ years. PaintAll signs are hand painted here on premises using the finest quality sign paints including MPC Matthew's Two-Part Polyurethane Paint.
Acrylic Latex: Latex paint is a general term which covers all paints that use synthetic polymers such as acrylic, vinyl acrylic (PVA), styrene acrylic, etc. as binders. The term "latex" is applied to most water-based paints, regardless whether the can says they are 100% acrylic, latex or vinyl styrene. It is only because natural latex and synthetic polymers share the property of looking milky when wet, and clear and flexible when dry, that they call this whole family of polymers "latex" in the paint US industry. However, they are better than Vinyl (PVA) Paint. Acrylic Latex with Primer: Priming ensures better adhesion of paint to the surface, increases paint durability, and provides additional protection for the material being painted. 1) Better stain protection (washability). 2) Water resistance. 3) Better adhesion. 4) Resist cracking and blistering better. 5) Resistance to alkali cleaners. Enamel: Enamel paint is paint that air dries to a hard, usually glossy, finish, used for coating surfaces that are outdoors or otherwise subject to hard wear or variations in temperature. The term today means "hard surfaced paint" and usually is in reference to paint brands of higher quality. Two-Part Polyurethane: Environmentally safe, graffiti resistant. The finish will be very thick and hard, much like an automobile finish. Two-part polyurethane cures to form a tough, impact-resistant finish. Excellent adhesion to many metal and plastic substrates. Excellent void or gap filler. Provides the longest lasting, ultra finish that has superb color retention, together with excellent chemical, impact & abrasion resistance. The most valuable feature of polyurethane paints, apart from a flawless finish, is resistance to water and chemicals, including gasoline. |
